  • 6-7 cups of tart apples (Peel and slice the apples thinly. 1 medium-sized apple should make about 1-1/3 cups when it is sliced. So you would require around 5-6 medium-sized apples for this recipe).

  • (1/2) cup of sugar.

  • (1/2) cup of packed brown sugar.

  • 1 large egg white.

  • 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour.

  • 1 tablespoon of butter.

  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.

  • Dough for the double-crust pie.

  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

  • ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg.

  • ¼ teaspoon of ground ginger.

  • Additional sugar.


Directions to make a delicious apple pie that everyone loves:

  • First of all, preheat your oven to 375°. Place a baking sheet in the oven when you preheat it. This will keep the bottom of the pie from becoming soggy when you bake it.

  • Second, take a small, clean bowl to mix the ingredients in. Toss in the ½ cup of sugar, ½ cup of packed brown sugar, 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg, and ¼ teaspoon of ground ginger.
